Thigh Lift
Slim & Smooth After A Thigh Lift
Loose, sagging thigh skin can be both aesthetically displeasing, uncomfortable and cause some health concerns. This condition often develops as a result of massive weight loss, but it may also be hereditary, developing with age. In either instance, excess, sagging thigh skin often makes fitting into clothing difficult. During exercise, thighs may rub, causing painful rashes and hygiene problems as well. If you’re embarrassed by your sagging thigh skin or are experiencing physical discomfort as a result of rubbing thighs, you may want to consider plastic surgery to correct this condition. Dr. Sharon Giese offers the thigh lift at her NYC office to help you slim and smooth their upper thighs.
Dr. Sharon Giese performs the limited and extended thigh lift, many times on an out-patient basis, depending on your individual condition and expectations. Her private, in-office, AAAASF Accredited, surgical suite allows you to enjoy increased comfort, discretion and safety compared to a hospital setting. During the limited thigh lift, Dr. Giese will make an incision at the crease of the groin, ensuring its placement is hidden and unobtrusive. Some inner thigh skin and fat is then removed. This technique is reserved for mild cases only, as a limited amount of skin and fat can be removed. For more severe cases, Dr. Giese may suggest the extended thigh lift. This technique involves an incision along the groin crease and down the inner thigh. Although more invasive than the limited thigh lift, the extended thigh lift can provide more comprehensive results, especially for those who display severe sagging and fatty thighs.*
Dr. Sharon Giese can discuss these options for your thigh lift at her NYC office during a personal consultation. By examining your condition, Dr. Giese can discuss which technique will most benefit you and develop an individualized treatment plan to meet your needs.

THIGH LIFT INSIGHTS | |
Ideal Candidates | Patients who have mild to severe sagging in the upper thighs. This excess skin may interfere with daily activities, cause discomfort and be cosmetically unappealing.* |
Procedure | Dr. Giese will excise the extra upper thigh skin to create a more sculpted, contoured appearance using either the limited or extended thigh lift techniques.* |
Technique Benefits | During the limited thigh lift, scar minimizing techniques are utilized, so incisions are limited to the groin crease. The extended thigh lift, although more invasive, can provide more extensive results for severe sagging.* |
Recovery | Recovery from thigh lift varies on an individual basis depending on the technique and the amount of skin and fat removed. Patients generally need one to two weeks recovery following this procedure.* |
Results | The upper thighs can be slimmed and contoured with less skin sagging. Discomfort associated with excess thigh skin and chafing can be reduced. Dr. Giese uses scar-minimizing techniques to ensure that any scaring is relatively hidden or unobtrusive.* |
Outcome | Patients often achieve increased body confidence after a thigh lift in our NYC office. Exercises is more convenient without chafing thighs, so quality of life can also be improved.* |
